Hi, I also have the random lockups and black picture, but if I enable "Strech" I get picture in the Options Video preview windows, but what looks like a scrambled picture in full screen.  I just jumped onto the forums now to investigate, so I dont have any suggestions yet...

Anyone know a fix (Ill try the timeserver for lockups) for the picture?  Ill post if I find one else than reverting to an older version.

I was getting brutal lockups, so went back to the original released 2.3.. Remember folks, these cvs builds are not actually meant for release.. I mean, sure, they're getting compiled and released daily, and can be done so thanks to the machine (aka: frodo), but don't expect every build to work, especially not flawlessly.. These are development builds and if you're not prepared for the concequences, stick to the releases by complex.. Those will be stable for sure.
