I think actual DVDs solve this problem by offering another file (ini??) Don't know if XBMP plays it, but it basically strings all the .vob file together. PowerDVD sure played it with no problem. Also you can always rip the DVD into 1 vob file.

its called an .ifo  and I too am not sure if Xbox MP plays them

It would be easier if you just make them into a .bin file (image of DVD) and play it as a bin.
