Twidlin My Thumbs (or Lack Of)

Been trying to get the thumbnail feature to work for my collection of MP3 and no matter what i do no joy!

Ive looked on the forum for a definitive answer as to whether they are currently working in this build 2.3 and not found any answer. so could someone please tell me whether they currently work. If so how do i do it??? please??
