Bad to reply tp you own message I know (shows how dumb you were) but I upgraded to 2.3 media player from 2.0 and now it does not have the initial problem.
Now it only shows 25 files BUT I have also seen (thanks to the forum) that it's a bug to fix regarding 9660 DVD's so will just await a nice new version of the player (as and when)
