When I click on a shoutcast (*.sc) file to play it, it takes a minute or 2 before it starts playing. I know that it is caching it, but it never took this long before. This used to work fine, it would start playing within a few seconds. I remember back when XBMP first added support for shoutcast. You had to set the buffer size in the xml file. I have the following in my xml
<share>
<name>Shoutcast</name>
<url>F:
[email protected]</url>
<cachesize>256</cachesize>
</share>
<share>
Then way down at the bottom there is the line that reads.
<xnsbuffer>8192</xnsbuffer>
I thought it would use 256 as the buffersize since thats what is specified for that share.
Do I need to reduce that 8192 down to a more manageable size, and if that is the solution, will it have any adverse effects on playing larger media like mpegs.
I'm running latest (mar 2) CVS build, and Relax 0.71. And ya I know there is a .75 relax release, just haven't gotten around to upgrading.
