Have To Have Media Player To Run Game?

hey,
      I was just wondering if u had to have xbox media player loaded on your xbox before you can run games from the Hard Drive? I have tried the tutoriel like 5 times now and i cant get it to work. Please help!

you do not have to have XBMP on HDD to run games off the HDD.
