The config file is set up differently in 2.3, but you can access the same shares that you used in 2.2.  Best thing to do is open up your working 2.2 config.xml, and use the samples in the 2.3 config.xml as a guide to switching over.  The XBMP 2.3 documentation is also good at explaining the setup; you can get it at xboxmediaplayer.de.

When you click on "MY VIDEOS", you are actually displaying your default folder.  If there's nothing in it, you'll only have a blank screen next to the button.  Click your A button 2-3 times on the pad to go up directories until you see your HDD's.  You'll then be able to easily browse to where your files are.
