By the way I've also been told that the Xbox DVD player is unable to read some types of CDR's...

You didn't do too much of reading otherwise you would have read that there are different types of DVD-drives in the xbox and some do read cdr's (if you are really lucky you have one of those) and a lot of them don't.

Try to burn your VCD on a cd-rw or a dvdr(w) since these are the kind of media that your xbox  likes..  Or play them streaming from your PC drive.... Or FTP them to your xbox...

yea its too bad some of the drives dont play all burned media.. Ive got so many svcds and burned movies. but they were not burned for my xbox so none work.. I just stream from my pc, but its annoying.. Im about to say fuck live. and put in a pc dvd drive
