I'd REALLY like to see "auto-run" on insert.

A VCD should just play when you insert it, likewise, DVD, SVCD, MPEG and DivX.... heck, even MP3 collections and image collections should just crank up, once inserted.

Also, it shouldn't matter if the disc is UDF, XDFS, or ISO9660. XBMP should ignore the differences, as far as the user is concerned.

more media support, quicktime, real media, etc.

also i like the suggestion of dvd to divx, it'd give the box something to do when its not being used.

I would LOVE to see XBMP play video and DVD's in 1080i. love.gif  love.gif  love.gif
This would get a lot of people on board who presently use HTPC's to scale video to these resolutions.

DVDs are currently only recorded in 480p.... so showing them in 1080i won't do a whole lot for you. But I do think HD support would be pretty sick!! It would look so clean, and all my pr0n would be massive!!!

I happen to disagree with you on that one. Have you ever seen a Dvd scaled up to 1080i?? I
have and it looks DAMN good. In fact it smokes that same DVD at 480p. I am currently running
dvd scaled to 720p and it looks (almost) as good as film on my 92 inch wide screen.

Semi Stretch would be really useful in my opinion.  An auto stretch where it doesnt make the picture totally out of proportion so it cuts the edges a bit first that way u get a bit of both.  I have to do this myself all the time and some sort of auto stretch woul be amazing.... comments...?  Chris

I would love to see something which isn't in the poll, I'm talking about Vobsub subtitles. The ones that come with releases won't work on XBMP 2.3, would be great if that would work in 2.4 guys!!!

Then this multimedia player is ultimate!!!!!

I would kind of like to have ripping capabilities in XBMP, such as mp3 or ogg ripping. So then i could put an audio CD in the DVD tray and store it straight on the HDD in a selected format. Similar to the WMA ripping in the M$ dash except choosing which format you would like. DVD ripping would also be schweet but i know how difficult that can be.
Thanks XBMP team and keep up the good work.

A few things I'd like to see:

1. To be able to seek with the analog stick (either) so that you can have variable FF/REW.
2. To use the controller/remote for all play controll. (Like DVDx where you don't have to pull up the little sub-menu on the bottom left)
3. When using thumbnails for mp3s and other audio (with no video), have XBMP display the thumbnail in full screen.
4. Audio visualization would rock.
5. Ripping capabilities.

Just my input...
