Watching A Vid Off A Cd-rw
« on: January 18, 2003, 03:11:00 PM »

I tried to burn a movie on a cdrw and xbmp doesnt find anything on the cd...(D drive). I know its a good burn because i was able to watch it on my comp before. Are there any special settings i should use, or a different program (i used nero, and i burned it as a data cd...should i have burned it as a vcd instead???)?

Thanks to anyone that can help

Browse to ISO9660 instead of the D Drive...
Should help
If not check out this thread:

And here is the new manual for XBMP2.2:

I just used Nero as a test and it woked on a 700meg avi.

Not all AVI's will playback using XBMP...
It maybe that the avi is not yet compatible

In that case burning to VCD would change the format and possibly make it viewable.
You would still have to browse the disk using ISO9660 until you found the DAT files themselves.
Using the Y button you could add each one to a Playlist and watch the entire film without playing the next DAT file....

If that does not work you can convert the AVI to MPG and try again
