I have tried using relax latest version and streaming via there, i get as far as seeing the folders on my pc ok, but whenever i go into the folders i can NEVER see the files.  This includes the mp3's for music, avi's etc for movies and any picture files.  I just cant see any files.  WHY?

I have also tried to use this SMB (using Xbox_SMB_XBMP2.2_StepByStep_Guide_by_Rockj.rar), and got a little further, i can now successfully see the files for anything shared, but this has only allowed me to play my music now.  So i still cant play movies or pics (pics i really dont care about so forget about them).  As i said i can now see the files, but when i click on a movie now, the screen just flashes really fast and nothing else happens.

So what is the solution to play movies? coz thats what i really want. smile.gif

Does someone have a solution with the SMB or relax? or anything?

Thanks for reading and even more thanks for replying biggrin.gif

i have succesfully done both using smb and relax, with movies and mp3s. my suggestion is to read the xbmp2 pdf that comes with it for smb support and download and read this guide for relax 0.6 you will be editing your config.xlm file so make sure thats all setup including your nameserver(the pc your streaming from) and the ip address of xbox
if you still have problems, let me know, and i will try to help

I have done most of that in the tutorials, but still something is wrong, i have completly done everything i can with SMB, and pretty much all of it with relax.  There must be something i am missing tho.

Do you think you could send me your config file for xbmp2 so i can see what you done in there.  Then i will be able to tell if its my config in there, or my config for SMB or relax, coz atm im not sure where abouts to look for that.

Thanks buddy.
