Xbox Mediaplayer: Media Playback Question
« on: January 16, 2003, 09:57:00 AM »

yes, its possible.  I used NERO and burned using UDF/ISO with XBOX compatibility, mpeg2/divx files  played fine for first few files but last ones had problems.

copied 25divx files to DVDr and only first 20 played
copied 5 mepg2 files and last file did not play

Plan to put same files on dvdr but use Record now max 4.5 and see what happens.

If you are using XBMP2.2(with fix), you can cache those files or stream them from DVD-Rom.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info. Yes, that was what I needed to know. I'm still waiting for the modchip to arrive.....

If the first files play back OK and you have problems with some at the end of the disc then it might be media related. What brand DVD-R did you use? I had some Bulkpaq/Princo sh*t. On some of them the last 20% of the disc could not be read very well by several standalone players. And one some others the last 20% could not be read well at all ;-)

I now use Datawrite 2x (Ritek) and all is well in that department....

Cheers,
Stefan
