love the SMB support in 2.2, I would like to see the bugs worked out of it!  Right now it dosen't seem to cope very well with large amounts of files or directories.

Support for more subtitle types (.sub), with language selection support.
I can usually see the movie without them, but I wouldn't mind the extra feature.

The ability to somehow read the WMV files that are stored when you RIP a cd with the orignal MS dash.  Like see the names, and length ect...  I love XBMP but i dont use it to listen to mp3's because they cant be played in a game.

If there was a utility to take the MP3's on the HD and dump them to the specific location on the xbox that is used by games that would be ideal.

Also, instead of editing an XML file, it would be easier if it was all done in an OPTIONS menu inside of the Media Player.

Playlists...but you probably already knew that one.
Ability to sort files by date.
A little more information given about files in detail view (like mod date, size).

Compatability with UDF (with forced dvd mode enabled) CD-Rs/RWs, for movie playback, as well as the current ISO compatability.

Quicktime = never.    Quicktime isn't an open codec.    Realmedia might come one day tho.

just wondering is there anything as such a mov2mpg or mov2avi ?

Yeah for some reason I'm thinking the same thing.  And I found this.   Pretty neat.

KazuyaWarazobi:  Why don't you just use VCDGear to convert those .dat files to .mpg's?  Takes fve minutes on a decent computer.

To the guy who said XViD, have you tried playing one?

I think 2.2 is pretty damn good as it stands - features wise.  The stability is iffy though, try navigating menus/dirs to fast & switching files quickly  and it'll almost always crash. (Video file stacking is a bit rough when the parts change, too.)

I hope they concentrate more on solidifying what they have, rather than going towards the dashboard replacement route, IMHO.
