Occasionally if I am playing around in XBMP while mp3's are streaming it will lock up, not all the time but sometimes.  Also, I was going from folder to folder queing songs to the playlist, again with shared mp3's and suddenly it locks up again    

I didn't try streaming mp3's with samba shares yet, will do that tomorrow, but don't know if there would a difference, as far as I can see, I don't see why it would make a difference.  

Finally, could it be possible that some mp3's may have encoding errors not heard by ear but that could cause a problem ? (Kind of like when trying to burn an mp3 in Nero which has an encoding error but sounds perfect, nero rejects it)

If anyone had similar issues or might know what's happening please let me know!

It locks up for me to sometimes. Just something you have to deal with it. Happens with me swithing video files too fast
