yes it can .. you need to setup the relax server to accomplish this

Yes it can, use the latest version of XBMP (2.1) with RelaX. XBMP 2.1 comes with a PDF that describes how to set this up.

yes i have the latest version installed..The remote pc has the files located here
\\spiderman\storage2\MP3 but it's w2k server that requires a password to be able to connect how would i include the user name and password? Currently have this line in the config file
"<remote>
<music>s:\\spiderman\storage2\[email protected]</music>"

yes i have relaxed installed on the remote pc but it's an older version.I went to the website for relax but it won't let me download it..
