Xbmp 2.0 Not Playing My .avi Movie

I had the same problem with playback of AVI.

The file was made in Premiere, and was in its native AVI-DV formatt (straight off a DVCAM).  I dont think XBMP2 supports this codec.  I could be mistaken, but i had the same issues.  I also couldnt play the video after encoding it with Windows Encoder 9.  Only after encoding it too a MPEG2 file was it able to play.

Hope this helps.

Hi.
Rename the file to a normal name like moviename.avi..

If its a lot of ()  ([] and similar, it will not play only flash as you said..

Try that....
