7-9 tech
7-11 mc360

On startup it will say master code invalid even if one wasn't entered yet. I attempt to type my code XBAY but as soon as I press A, 'OK' is selected and thus the cycle of hell begins.

I FTP'd in but there isn't a lockcode. So I put X in there but it won't even let me press X and then OK. WTF

    <masterlock>
        <automastermode>true</automastermode>
        <enableshutdown>false</enableshutdown>
        <lockcode>-</lockcode>
        <maxretries>3</maxretries>
        <sep1></sep1>
        <startuplock>false</startuplock>
    </masterlock>

I changed the max retries to 10 which does me know good. I also changed the default skin to PMIII and then was able to get in. As a happy beta tester should I then went to appearance and loaded MC360. I change my mastercode from XBAY to 1234. When I rebooted it didn't bring up a PIN pad and still informed me that the code that I hadn't entered was invalid.

After playing with a couple of retries I then pressed start, by accident, and the mc360 blade appeared. Cool, a possible workaround? So I choose the shutdown menu and it had the option 'enter master mode'. Then ironicly it flashed at the bottom, 'entered master mode' as it had the master code blade to the right warning me of my unescapable fate.

I noticed in the code above it doesn't show a lock mode? If that even matters.

I may have to report this to the XBMC gods because I attempted the same shite in PMIII and sure enough. Code invalid on startup and no means to enter PIN and no way to enter mastermode though this was proven to not be a workaround in MC360.

Maybe that's why they have a new version out. Is MC360 compatible with the new tech release?

Just so you know, the master code is still f'd up in the 7-25 build of XBMC. I don't see a need to upgrade XBMC/MC360 until this crucial feature is fixed. It isn't blackbolts fault, I'm just updating other users on the progress of this bug.

To each his own.
