Big List View
« on: June 21, 2006, 03:57:00 AM »

I'm using:
- CVS build from 21-6
- MC360 Beta 0.98565

In Music Library mode the Big List View doesn't show any backgrounds for the albums. This way you can't see which album you have selected.

I checked the project mayhem III skin using the same build and it's still working there.

Big List View in movies seems to have the same bug. Perhaps the background images are just missing in the xpr.

Hope you get it fixed. I like using the big list view.

It's definitely standard in XBMC. I'm not using any third party add ons at the moment. You can only use it when your in library mode. Thats probably why you don't see it in your menu. It's a pretty nice feature.

edit: ohw just noticed your edit. Thanks for the fix!

Ok Japser Ive fixed this now heres what it looks like

(IMG:http://s2.supload.com/thumbs/default/biglist1.jpg)  (IMG:http://s2.supload.com/thumbs/default/biglist2.jpg)

Now because you say you use it a lot I will tell you how to fix it yourself until the next version of the skin comes out
You need to open up MyMusicNav.xml and MyVideoTitle.xml in an editor scroll all the way to the bottom of the file you will see a section that starts like this
CODE

    big listcontrol
    listcontrol
    52

you need to replace the whole thing starting with <control> right to </control> with this code
CODE

    big listcontrol
    listcontrol
    52
    wide-thumb-focus.png
    wide-thumb-nofocus.png
    font14
    font13
    d0000000
    |
    10
    15
    370
    90
    top
    100
    95
    10
    120
    2
    52
    2
    2
    WindowOpen
    WindowClose

Then when you next go into the big list mode it should look like my screenshots

Thanks for the quick fix. It's looking great and makes browsing my music a whole lot easier.

I know I have seen that screen before, by accident, but I cannot find it now. How do you enable it?

Yes I understand you need to be in the library mode to get it working.

However i would like to edit the xml file (if possible) to modify the Big Icons veiw so the layout is the same a big list, so that i can have this view when not working in Libary mode.

Just i am not sure where the control for the Big Icons is.

To be honest I don't think you can add it to other sections because the code for it only exists when in those 2 parts of xbmc I could be wrong though I'm still new at this

Thanks for this fix.  I just put it in and quite like the Big List view for movies.  But what is the number in the bottom righthand corner of each icon?  I'd have thought time/duration was the most logical but it can't be that.

I think its the IMDB Rating on the movie
