I assume 55ns is faster than 90, 120 etc. does it matter what speed it used for proper functioning?

and is pdip, tsop, and plcc all mounting versions? which one should be used / recommended?

thanks

btw, probably obvious my intention is to install a homebrew chip (planning to use EvoX bios so I can slap in a fat HD)

for all interested, hopped over to rad shack and picked up a chip extractor. Popped open my AOpen AK72 AMD MB, and pulled off the bios (after ensuring BIOS was cached, which it wasn't). Put it back in half way, and rebooted...machine came up no problems. Then pulled off BIOS chip with machine on, and machine continued to function.

For those who haven't read elsewhere, these are the first steps to flashing a bios using a pc mb. I'll post my success/failure as I go along.
