St Chip Is Winbound?

Ok I have been trying to flash the TSOP of a Halo Xbox. Acouding to the Eurasia flash disc it is a winbound W49F020T. But the chip itself says it is a M29f002BT. And when ever I try to flash it it gives me an error saying it cannot earse the chip. I have doulbe and triple checked my sodering points. What else can I do?

It looks like the Eurasia disc recognises manufacturer 0x09, device 0x00 as a Winbond, which is incorrect (and which can sometimes have nasty consequences). ST chips are made by ST, not Winbond.
Check your solder points.
