Blank Tsop And An Lpc Mod
« on: January 12, 2006, 10:45:00 PM »

i used raincoat to try and flash the TSOP and it erased the banks but didnt write to them, it said it wasnt writeable. so now all the banks are empty, and i can only boot it with an LPC chip which isnt mine, so using it perm. isnt an option. Is there any way i can flash the tsop back or do i have to break down and buy a chip?

chip: apple X III
xbox: 1.0
tsop: 1mb

Before you go and buy a chip, it might be worth splitting your bios into 4 and try booting from each segment, hopefully not every part is wiped, this will at least get your Xbox up and running again.

If that fails, the only other options would be to buy an LPC modchip, install and forget or get a 29 wire mod, install and reflash the TSOP. Then you can remove the modchip if you want.

You can't flash a TSOP using an LPC based modchip.

Or you could get a chameleon connect the a15 wire, and load a special bios found in the usual places to reflash the tsop, but this is hard to do and really doesnt seem worth it.

the bios is something along the lines of 256k_evox_matrix or something like that.

i believe that only works if the TSOP isnt completely blank, which he says his is
