Tsop Addressing
« on: April 07, 2005, 06:11:00 PM »

in a recent tutorial i read about creating multibios: http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/multibios-tsop.php i read this:

****WARNING****
When flashing the TSOP make sure that both switches are OFF (NOT GROUNDED). IF they’re not, the TSOP flashing will fail because the TSOP cannot be wholly reached, SO MAKE SURE THE SWITCHES ARE OFF!!!

from what i've read and understood this enables the 4th quater bioses to e run/edited...

why is it that u have to flash the 4th quater not the 1st 2nd or 3rd.

the note above says that the 1st 2nd and 3rd quaters cannot be reached, which confused me because i dont understnd how you can flash 3 different sets bios to 3 quaters that cannot be addressed? is it that the tsop copies everything from the 4th quater into the 1st,2nd & 3rd ones?

also why is it that the tsop screws up when u flash it with 256K bios?

lust wondering at 3:22a.m.  :P  :rotfl:

both switches off not grounded and flash like normal with a 1meg image made up of desired 256 images. you may want to look into forums more because i have read somewhere that it safest to flash with only two bios orig 512 + mod 512 - 1 meg
also this method can fix a wrong file size flash theirs been cases where power cut while flashing 1 meg tsop and i have used this method with switches to try first bank and its work i then booted to evox and reflashed with 1 meg by removing both grounds from a18 a19 before flashing
