ok... i got this problem, a friend of mine modds xboxxes, and he did some for some friends of mine... BUT the IGR does not work, neither will it reconize hdds of 120+ GB... mine does work, and i got the bios where u can change all the color thingies in the intro.

stuff to kno:
xbox 1.6b
chip "Duo X2" (it's a blue one... if it matters?? i heard people having white ones..)

can anybody tell me what bios to use... cause my OWN bios works  :D
i kno about computers :blink:  but xbox bioses are completely different..
well atleast they got all the weird numbers and sh*t...
im kinda scared putting the wrong bios on it... cus it will fry the xbox...  :( we wouldnt want that....

anybody that knows for SURE, id be gratefull
if u need more info, please tell me.. so i can look it up <

Even though this is the wrong forum, you should be using M8+16 for a v1.6b box.  You can edit the bios using EVTool to all for quick IGR.  This should fix your problem.

yeah the Duox2 chips are very reliable, I use them all the time.... but they bios that comes with them as you stated does not have IGR activated and is not set up to allocate anything past 137GB

Like caster420 said get yourself a hold of the "m8_16.bin" and make sure you resize it to be 512 kb, that's the correct size for the these chips.

Get a hold of "EVtool_1.0.6" and open the "m8_16.bin" make the changes you want on it and then save as 512 kb....that's it!

ok.. i made a mistake.. its the white one... :S does dat matter??? THNX for the help... I AM NOT WORTHY ;) ghehe kinda noob
