Here's my recipie that is not working:
I received a coma console v1.3 and have spent the past two weeks reading theses forums and trying everything and anything to get it to boot. I have my own v1.0 set up as a programmer (I can easily flash and remove eeproms in 30 seconds). The 1.3 mobo boots to solid green,no video,no audio, no eject. I ruled out the eeprom being physically dead because I flashed with my .bin backup and it boots my v1.0 just fine (before you ask, the eeprom was corrupt from the 1.3, I tried using everything to open the file after I backed it up and it wouln't. Even in notepad it just gave something like IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII and so on).I've tried my duox2 chip but it will only boot to a cromwell bios, not x2 or even retail. I tried my 29 wire homebrew with an x2 4977 bios, no go. I've been through numerous eeprom image backups from 1.3 and up xboxes and none of them help either. Is there something I'm missing like a proper way to flash the eeprom on my v1.0 with a v1.3 eeprom image becase now I can't even tell if it's a bios issue or an eeprom issue anymore,or should I just use it as a doorstop. Just to say thanks for all the info you guys post on these forums, It's kept me up for a week just reading but now I have no choice but to call on you guys personally for professional advice.
Just to let you, any solution would help me, I'm an experienced solderer and I have access to high tech equipment (BGA reflow station, MINI Pot solder station, HOT GAS Rework station etc) so no answer will go un-noticed. Thanks for taking the time to read.
