If you have a LCD TV/Plasma anyting under 720p with XBMC will look very ugly and bulky(low res on HD is not looking good) so I 2 find it strange that 720p was not working in this beta(should have been priority nr1)

I use 480p on my "HDTV" and it looks fine.

can we help on converting to 16:9, cause from what I`ve seen, there isnt to many bugs in the 4:3, and the ones that were there seem to be gone. Maybe have a thread or something where we can post code or xmls, saves you guys a lot of time!

I can't believe 720p is not supported.  I'm definitly not installing it now.  You guys could have easily gotten an VGA converter box and hooked it up to a PC monitor.  Don't wanna be a hater but these days if you're gonna skin XBMC 720p is at least a minimum requirement.

Any updates or changes to the 16:9 fonts. The skin fonts still look blurry with 16:9 720 lines. Any custom modifications done or tried by anyone? I tried the MS font as suggested in another thread. That improves the resolution for 16:9 a little bit though.

Blackbolt. Thanks for the new releases. We would all appreciate if any specific 16:9 release is made for us folks. I have a 50" Pioneer Plasma.

Great work I must say very impressive though..

Guys, calm down. 16x9 will be there in time (even though I miss it too of course I can wait). I guess that blackbolt and his team has been working harder on solving bugs, redesign a little bit after what people asked for and get it more stable/finish up some half-done features.

Keep it up all MC360 people and give us 16x9 when you feel like you can add it... biggrin.gif

Prepare for another silly question:

I didn't realise XBox supported HD PERIOD. I take it that there is some sort of component cable available for the original 360? I have a 1080i telly which I use HD with my 'real' (no really, really real) Xbox 360, and I've set up the fonts with MC360 to use the offical X360 font, but I take it it's still going to look 'like crap' (I think it looks quite good at 480) unless I pick up a component cable... if such a thing exists, yes?

EDIT: Wow, I just discovered that my TEAC Wide Screen CRT Telly supports 720x576... who'da thunk?

i dont get why its hard to make a 16:9 dash considering all the other things you guys have done with this skin.

cant you just open up photoshop or whatever it is your using, and set the image size to 1920 pixels by 1080 pixels. and there you have it, right there: 1080i 16x9!

also arent you all looking at xbox 360 dashboard pictures for reference anyways? heres a 16X9 dashboard pic..just work off of this, you dont need an "HD source"

I hope they don't use the real Xbox360 dash for getting 16:9 up and running on MC360 because it doesn't actually add any more space for listed items. In fact the 16:9 dash on the 360 is just the 4:3 one with more space left and right and cropping on the top and bottom.

I'd like to see MC360 using a true 16:9 dash were we'd have more room for our icons, etc like PMIII.

EDIT Just to back this up take a look at the two formats -

I voted; that makes 74%.

It works on mine but there are minor things as mentioned by others. The line on the top of the skin because the header isn't big enough. For the most part it works. So, continue working on bugs and user requests. HD support should be the fine tuning phase such as language packs and what not.
