Difference Between A Tsop Mod And A Chip?
« on: December 07, 2004, 03:53:00 PM »

right well, i just posted this in the n00b forum, but maybe thats just read by n00b like me....anyway, more to the point -

basically i'm a pure modding n00b!
i've been looking at modded xbox's for a while now and today i found one for £70 (20hrs left on an auction)
i mailed the seller and he'll send me the evoX cd for upgrading the HD (its got the default 10gb seagate in) and its TSOP'd
i aint got a clue what TSOP'd means...other than the bios chip has been flashed with a mod chip's bios. (the seller's told me "its like a chip thats always on")
are these TSOP'd xbox's any good? i dont want it to go anywhere near Xbox Live as i've already got a box for that, i just need it to 'play' with! what are the advantages/disadvantages of this TSOP'd xbox over an xecuter 2.6/3 chiped xbox?

tsop is good enough for you, basically what tsop flash means is that this xbox won't ever be the same, it will load hacked xbe's and will never be turned off.

we are all n00bs one day out of the week
