@mindweaver, run it from a command prompt and let me know how far you get.

I tried it from command prompt. When I do that I get the error I posted above "Unexpeted '." When I run the .BAT file as is, it just opens and close in a sec.

I just tried this out, even though I have a 4:3 TV, and must say it looks nice (squashed a bit, but that's because it's not made for 4:3... sure hope you can get that working!).

A couple of requests, though...

Any chance of seeing the Big Wide Icon views, especially in the Programs (I would REALLY miss this view for my games).  And being able to select a background picture for the home page in the skin settings?  And I really do miss being able to hit the up arrow to go to the Favorites.  I know it's a work in progress, just throwing some suggestions out.

Big wide icons don't work well on 720p too much blank space on the sides but id I get 4x3 working it will be the way it works because 2 wide in wide icons is 4x3 is too small

Background image huge possiblilty been thinking about it for a while but I just did a change that screws up that idea until linux gets fixed and I can convert it back to how it was

Favourites on up Allready added that to the svn just about 30mins ago

Just updated!  So, do you plan on replacing the Wide with Big Wide in the 4:3, or include both?  If there aren't any technical problems, I personally would prefer to have both (2 wide icons isn't too small on my 50" rear-projection 4:3 here... and I do actually use both views).

Gotta say I love this new skin.

I love it so much I thought I'd have my first go at creating a theme for a skin.

Well here's some screenshots and a rapidshare link. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Jezz, I must apologise to you for making a crappy orange version of your fantastic skin - I did it on the cheap!  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

dxg836,

I see you have an icon for Project Pandora in the pics above...  Is that a python script?  Can you actually use Pandora on your xbox?

Sorry for the derailment folks!

Thanks!

The skin uses them by default thanks to permission from Mikebeecham who made them so he just recolored them for the theme

Hey Jezz, nice work as always.

One question. What could be the problem if no icons are showing up when I enable the use alternate home view?

EDIT: please disregard... I'll update my xbmc, forgot I took a week off, That should probably fix it. Sorry.

I managed to write myself a little script to help me auto convert all the files good news is it worked (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
so here are some early shots of the homescreen converted to proper 4x3
Just as a note my converter screwed up coverflow so I will have to make 4x3 with no coverflow to start with until I can redo it

Well done Jezz,

I have a new favorite skin and that is saying alot as I haven't found one to replace PM3 for any length of time!

Thanks for the time you spent getting this together, the scene appreciates it...
