Vision Animation Mod
« on: November 16, 2007, 11:05:00 PM »

Not sure if anyone had done this, but i have added some transitional effects between screens.
Only did and tested for 16x9.

Modded xml includes :
Home
Settings

Includes
MyPrograms
MyVideo
MyPics
MyMusicSongs
MyWeather
MyScripts
FileManager

Download here and replace those existing files.

Ok, added the animation to 4:3 as well.
Same download link here.

Uploaded a very "crappy" sample video too. Oh well, the idea is there.

Thanks.

The transition effects are cool for sure...thanks for sharing. I'm really glad people (Jezz_X especially) are still updating this skin. I use this skin more than others, so its appreciated. Thanks

nice work
too bad this skin doesn't have full 720p & 1080i support

Works fine for me in 720p.

it would be great if Jezz X could include or polish up the animation in the SVN build too. smile.gif

found two little quirks with it:

1. it does not look nice with the Blaze Theme (my absolute favourite theme). The Background gets scaled first and thenit fades. looks very weird.

2. when editing the home.xml to automatically point to my libraries (I have written about this mod in the official Vision thread), the main menu fades out, but the library doesn't fade in, instead it just appears in the old way

Ok, updated to "fix" the Blaze theme.
- Added Date on Home.
- Added the transition effects to some other screens as well, have not tested though.

You may wish to try and let me know. Thanks.

excellent mod, only thing is tho is that it takes alot longer to load up the home screen.
i.e if ur in music viewing an album then press the back button to go home it leaves a slight ghost of the music page as it loads the home screen..

anyway cool mod!
