hi all, I 've to suggest that the covers in media/video icons shows little bad. I think would be better to view covers in good quality, don't like the scaled view. It's just a suggestion, thx for all

the font for the file names still doesnt look crisp like the rest of the larger fonts, any way to make this look better, im on a 480p edtv plasma....

I am also running on a 480p EDTV plasma and noticed the fonts could be a little better.  Try this and tell me if this makes the fonts look any better: Open up Font.xml in the xTV skin directory.  It is found in the NTSC 16x9 folder or whatever resloution your running in.  Look for <aspectratio> and change every occurence from 1.05 to 1.30.  Now the fonts should look a lot better.  Please tell me if this worked for you.

Have you guys considered trying to make the video and audio cover art tilted like in the real iTV?  I think that could look pretty snazzy

You need to increase your thumbnail cache read here
http://www.xboxmediacenter.com/wiki/index....cedSettings.xml
then you will need to delete the allready cached ones in your userdata dir

one pic would of done i think nubbs - i think we all know what the icons look like  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)  - the icons are blurred because thats the way they are in the real thing - and after examining various screenshots of the real appleTV home screen the blur is pretty close to the way the real one looks

Actually, it's definately not. In the real AppleTV, the blurring is gradual, like it should be. The farthest (smallest) icon is the blurrest one and the middle one is much less blurry, to create a sense of depth. In this Xtv skin, both background icons are fully blurred, which isn't accurate and looks awkward.

Also, the pink Programs icon has a weak reflection because there is a considerable gap between the icon and it's reflection. So it looks that it's "floating" and not "standing" like the other icons. This is the main reason why some people complained about that icon's poor reflection, it should also be fixed.

Loving this skin more and more everyday. Thanks for the bug fixes. Great job! Now that I am using it on a daily basis, there are a few suggestions I would like to make:

1/ perhaps you could make the music and movie overlay optional in skin settings. I like the skin better when it is totally clean.
2/ It would be really cool if you could make an extra home button linked to TV programs optional in skin settings.
3/ When playing music it takes a long time before the screen pops up showing just the cover and the track info. I would like it to be faster. Maybe you could add different times in skin settings.
4/ It would be cool if something similar would pop up after a few seconds when you pause a movie. Showing the cover of the movie and some information.

Just some suggestions. Maybe you could work on them. If not, perhaps you could point me in the right direction for some personal customization  happy.gif

Hi all, want to start out by saying that the skin looks pretty nice on a 16:9 tv @ 720p.  I am having one small problem though, and I can't seem to figure out what is causing it...

I am unable to get ANY visualizations to work with this skin, they work with PMIII, but when using xTV it just goes to a black screen no matter which visualization I choose (except for Album Art, which works fine).

Any suggestions?  It is really the only thing keeping me from making the switch to xTV.

Thanks in advance.

First off - this skin is fantastic! Great job!

Is it possible to add the Apple TV type of animation on the home page, so when you scroll down the list, the icons cycle through with animation versus just changing?

I had to change my font.xml settings for 720p, the fonts seemed really large to me. The original beta release was ok, but when the build that came out on Saturday the fonts increased.

Also, is there a way I can go to a DVD menu from the OSD? I couldn't see it.

This is great! Thanks!

I'm new to TortoiseSVN. It keeps giving me following error message. I've had them for 3 times and it still hasn't finished downloading the whole thing.

Error: REPORT request failed on '/svnroot/xboxmediacenter/!svn/vcc/default'
Error: REPORT of '/svnroot/xboxmediacenter/!svn/vcc/default': Could not read response body: Secure connection truncated (https://svn.sourceforge.net)

Please help. Thanks.
