Hello,

Well it happened.. crap.. flashing a 1.5. Did the solder points on the top of the mobo. I did find one tutorial that said there was one point on the bottom but I did not do this one.

I flashed with eurasia. Made sure there was a 256K bios there. Flash seemed to go ok. But now it fraggs on start up.

Is there anyway I can recover this with out having to add a mod chip?

what bios did u flash. what you mean by frags? from the sounds of it, looks like youre gonna need to buy a modchip.

I used the new executer bios. To be honest I am not sure which one it was - but i have flashed other 1.3 boxes with this one without issue. I think i may have found the cause of the problem. My TSOP is a Winbond W49F020T-90B, and my raincoat.cfg does not have a line for this in it. I think i flashed as another winbond chip.

I am going to go out and get a mod chip now, however I am hoping that someone can let me know if there is a fix, like the 3 wire for older versions, that I can use on this.

 1. raincoat flashes that winbond w/o the line in the config just fine

2. there is no 3 wire fix for this xbox ver.

seems like modchip is your only solution.
