So basically you can't load an evox cd, right? Are you sure you burnt it correctly by making an ISO file and burning the image? Some people surgest a 'dummy' file, to take up space on the disc, as the xbox has trouble reading a small amount of data.
When running a dashboard from a cd it has to be called default.xbe can't be called evoxdash or anything else. Can you pay real/backup games? Which have you tried cdr/cdrw/dvd-r/dvd+r?
I hope these don't sound patronising but its all I could come up with, cos frankly I am a little stumped too! |
The EVOX cd that I have is the same one I used successfully on the past 20 or so I've done. As far as the dummy file, I do not have one of those on the ISO.
If I place the already setup HD in this unit, it works. Its just not letting me run the CD. Flashes Red/Green and gives error 13 when trying. I place the same drive in my already flashed XBOX and it doesn't read it either.
I went ahead and formatted this same drive on my PC, and ran the Data Lifeguard tools diag on it and it worked fine.
And the other question regarding can I play backed up games, the answer is yes. Just not letting me setup the HD for the first time on it.
Thanks,
Rob
