Topic: Xbmc Scripts Updater Not Working (Read 104 times)

When I download these files from XBMX Scripts, I am given the following message:

An error occurred while unzipping.
Corrupt file or not a zip file.

This happens for the Install and Update file. How can I fix this?

The same thing happens to me when I try to run a script in XMBC script.

Also I get a skin problem with Apple Movie Trailer that I can't resolve.

Need help please

How do you creat a debug log?

Update XBMC and this will magically stop happening.

And your debug log is a text file named "xbmc.log" in the root of your Q: drive.

Rumor has it that XBMCScripts is (mostly) down at the moment.

As for the debug log, unless you hold down X+Y when XBMC boots you'll only get a "standard" log (which is useless for debug purposes).

Note that you can get a script log by entering scripts view, attempting to run the one you're having trouble with, and pressing your black (or white - can't quite remember which) button.

Hi!

I'm finally back after a long break from the scene...

I just downloaded the latest version of XBMC as of 2/6/07. When i try to install any script, i get an error message saying that the file is corrupt or is not a zip file. I can't seem to install any script with success? Is there a problem with my Xbox ? When i updated my XBMC , i completely removed the old version and did a fresh install, cleared the cache etc... Is there something wrong with www.xbmcscripts.com?

You do realize XBMC t3ch builds are updated every week, right? Why are you using a 4 month old version? The latest version was released on 5/27/07. The 2/6/07 build is still using the old version of the xbmcscripts installer.

Really? I was talking about BC 2007.

Apparently everyone is getting that error. It's because of the xbmcscripts website. I guess we just have to wait for them to fix it.

Edit: The script I attempted to download in this case was the later version of the YouTube script. Using the MC360 skin here, under PMIII the script installer just froze up on me when it got to the "Installing..." stage (as opposed to giving me an error and then letting me exit the script). Latest T3CH revision of XBMC, latest SVN revision of MC360.

The DLL errors are probably to do with background visualisations. An "unrequired" DLL was removed recently-ish and I don't think Milkdrop is happy about it.

I think XBMC's ZIP/RAR support has been modified slightly as of recent times as well.

did some work on the site last night.. but i will add more errorchecks and more debug logging too the script.

a new release is on its way.
