My upgrade didn't go as well as his... My xbox boots up fine, but it doesn't recognize the extra ram installed..

What Bios should I use?

I have a 1.3 Tsop box

Im thinking of doing the ram install but i just wanna clear a few things up before i do, After i done the ram install would i be able to boot to the retial bios (modchip off) without any problems? What bios do i need so the xbox recognises it got 128meg ram, will the x2 4981 do?, how can i find out that the xbox found the extra ram, shall i check in XBMC?

PERPLEXER is the man! His work is top quality. The RAM chips look better than hand-soldered quality.

I installed Linux, but never ever use it, cause I have no reason to.

I ran RAM Delimiter on my game XBE files, and some seem to load significantly faster, like Halo.

MAMEoX loads the games faster, but doesn't run them faster.

I'm not sure if Surreal even uses it, as I see no improvement.

But hey, I still have it. It's cool to have. If anyone could please tell me: What else could I do with it?

Yeah I think it said u need a bios to recognize the memory or something bbut dont quote me. Hey btw does anyone know if its possible to upgrade to even mpre memory?

128meg is fairly cheap nowadays,

yes, it costs a lot for someones skill, time and effort, BUT, you get a few benefits

1 - blagging rights
2 - PERFECT mame emulation on most roms
3 - excellent Linux performance,

where else can you buy a full linux computer for £100
