I got this working with my XBMC (I'm a Sirius member), and owe you one big THANK YOU!

One question.....where do I find the 'Unknown Type Cache - Internet" setting to change?

I was looking for it in RunSirius.py, but it isn't there, and I cannot figure out what you are referring to.

Just got Sirius and installed this script, thanks for developing it!

One thing, though:  It takes quite a while to cache...I looked in the system settings, and I don't see the "Unknown Type" under Internet cache.  It has Music, Video, and DVD.  I set them all to 256, no improvement.

Thanks!

Okay,
I feel helpless.  How do I install this script?  I updated runsirius.py, but
a) have no idea where to save all the files (I cant find the proper script directory) and
B) have no idea how to run a python script.  I installed Phython, clicked on runsirius, it appeared to do something, but when I went to the XBox MCE there was nothing there..
Any help would be appreciated.  Also are the channels updated to show the recient channel additions to Sirius?

Just updated XBMC- and reloaded the Sirius/ XM scripts.  Checked logins/ pwd's, etc.- however, I cannot get Sirius to work (though XM works great).

Anyone else experiencing problems with the Sirius script?

Thnx.

as well as an email i sent. i just wanted to comment. the reason no other stations but music work is because sirius made it that way. there online broadcast only allows music channels so the others just broadcast a sample clip. been like this since sirius went live.

on another note, i set up the .ply file with my user/pass but the script says invalid. however i know its correct cause it works on there site :)

look correct? (changed cause umm well i dont want to share my log in)

just today its rejecting the username/password.

Sirius just updated its system with new channels and such, maybe they "fixed" whatever allowed XBMC to communicate

Sirius has changed their line up of music thus you can't access them through XBMC. right now.

We need someone to alter the .py code so it works.

Looks like Mike Rosack is aware of the problem, hopefully he can figure this out.

From http://sacknet.org/sirius/ :
QUOTE
"10-14-05 - I can no longer log into Sirius with XBMCsirius, but it doesn't seem like Sirius made any (obvious) changes to their web interface. There's definitely something funky going on, because the failed logon attempt doesn't return the "Unsuccessful Login" message, or any message at all for that matter. If anyone has any clues, let me know - I'll be out of town until Sunday."

The only problem was that the media player is no longer hosted on 'sirius.com', only 'www.sirius.com'.  Once I made the changes to the URLs in the script everything worked fine again.  There's a new version up at sacknet.org/sirius/.

Thanks,

Mike
