Webradio In Xbmc 11-14 And 11-15 No Workie
« on: November 15, 2004, 10:33:00 PM »

I looked around and have the latest updates for Webradio but I can't get it working on these latest XBMC versions. Apple Quick time trailers are o.k.

Anyone else having probs out there?

I deleted the UDATA and TDATA "usual" file for precaution but didn't help.

Are you by chance using yours as main dashboard (on c:,.xml pointing to f:\apps\xbmc\).
I just noticed that i tried playing a few radio streams and every time almost exactly 10 seconds it froze. I've had problems with the last 3 versions (CVS. IE-Randomly all my settings would be lost after rebooting), and so i left it this time on the Project Mayhem I skin (default) after loosing the settings (got tired of plugging everything back in after the 14th time) and noticed it didn't freeze, then it froze, and i decided to put it back on f:\ drive so as it's not used as a dashboard, and it's not freezing the audio after 10 seconds anymore.

Agreed...Not working either ways...  I tried to put the files from the 11-13-2004 release and still nothing. Even when i run it as an application and not my dash, same issue.

1: Tested and working here
2: Scripts are third party additions that sometimes work and sometimes do not.

It is *very* seldom (i think once) something is wrong with xbmc when scripts do not load.

Strange thing is, all my other scripts load. When I select the webradio script it says loading and just does nothing. I even tried replacing the script with the one from the old 1.0 build that used to work for me, and no dice.

There seems to be a problem with the python files uploading when using xbmc's ftp server.  Try using another dash to upload the python folder, I had the same problem untill i used avalaunch to upload the python folder.

I always used Ava for FTP'ing so that's not a problem solver for me. I rlled back to XBMC 11-13 and all is well.

Hey...where to you chnage the info in XBMC's xml for the default game launcher in KAI? It defaults to f:/games automatically right? Thing is my games folder is named "Xbox Games" and need KAI to read that folder. I don't want to go changing all my progs xml's and directories to accomdate the default.

I believe the new build does not have SimpleKML.py in the scripts folder.  I had the same issue of Web not loading, but I copied over the Simplekml.py and it works now.

Also the new build doesn't have common-font14.xpr and common-font18.xpr in the fonts folder so I copied those there also.  Not sure if it makes a difference or not, but everything is working except for the .NU TV stuff.

Didn't notice that Nagmine...but the Webradio app rocks! It's much easier to use and I like that it categorizes all the music genres. Plus it's really cool you can launch Webradio right from the main board of the XBMC dash with the yellow button.

I'm sure it's a bug that the XBMC team needs to fix.
