Hi!

Is it possible to watch movies on XBMC through an external HDD?

I found this little thing that let's you plug in an USB divice via the xbox controller input.

If yes, will it work with this USB converter?

No! would be the answer as XBMC allows "only" 6Gb of storage data to be mounted! so mainly USB sticks to be used whit this adapters!! or maybe mouse or keyboard!

Also they are only USB 1 only so would be a slow transfer rate

The solution is to use a NAS instead. Similar to a USB enclosure, only it can be accessed via ethernet instead. The only storage limitations are those imposed by the NAS itself, and it'll go a heck of a lot faster too.

It's a 4gb limit over USB btw.
