I agree the new PM3 HD looks so great!!!

one bug/feature I still hate is the new overlay that shows when scrolling... works fine with names/files (displays the letter your at as you scroll) , but it doesnt work for dates (just shows "2" when scrolling, very very annoying) As when sorted by size the overlay looks silly, and isnt very fuctional

I wish there was a way to toggle this fuction on/off  (Does anyone know how to remove this, xml editing?  delete something?  i dunno??? )

Until someone works on this my boxes will stay with an older build without that annoyance!

Question:

I have an extra 320gig internal SATA drive I use for storage of my music/videos. I just downloaded and installed Xbmc ‘atlantis’ Beta 1 to my extra Sata drive to the X:/XBMC directory.

If I took this drive out and converted it to an external USB drive, could I then theoretically connect it to any other PC or Laptop running Windows XP and it would still function with the same folder and music directories I would normally config within in XBMC?

Basically, having a portal media center as XBMC as the primary OS for that drive anywhere?

Id like to see that happen.

How long would it take?

Some torrent sites claim to have them but I don't trust wasting my time.

Good question - haven't seen a response from the XBMC team on this.  So my guess is what you see is NOT Beta 1 of Atlantis (not fully anyways - is missing some fixes so far).

It may be.

I see lots of builds of XBMC on torrents that are not from T3CH. But I just dont ever trust them and I know lots of people that feel the same.

I've just tagged the xbox branch for release (as in 5 seconds ago).

So any release that's earlier than r15640 or 15641 (tag) is not beta1.

Cheers,
Jonathan
