Bad Flash?
« on: April 11, 2004, 05:00:00 PM »

I bought another xbox today - scored one with a samsung!  I flashed it using 007 exploit and raincoat, rebooted, and got the turn on, turn off about 2 or 3 times, then flashing red/green.

My research tells me this is from a bad flash.  What can I do to fix it?  It is a v.1.4, and I have no mod chips.

It won't turn on so I can't just put in slayer's or anything.... please help.

The cheaper and the faster I can fix this, the better.  Thanks, you guys rock, as always!

the only way to fix it is to use a 29 wire mod, like devilmod 2, the other modhips will work but you cant flash the onboard tsop  <

Here is a guide for flashing the TSOP with a 29-wire modchip:  http://www.xraychips.com/Xray3.htm

However I know there is something called 'Evox.d6' BIOS that can let you recover your TSOP with an LPC modchip (maybe matrix-only) sometimes.  Anyone know more about it?  <

I believe the 'Evox.d6' BIOS  only works on earlier xbox models.  <

I believe the 'Evox.d6' BIOS  only works on earlier xbox models.

correct, the d.6 bios itself only works on 1.0-1.3, so using it on a 1.4 is out of the question, and its only been comfirmed to be able to fix TSOPs on 1.0s and 1.1s (ive never heard of anyone successfully using it on a 1.2 or 1.3)

and just to clear things up, there are 2 d.6 bios, there is the Evox d.6 bios, which is your standard hacked bios (all other d.6s are just mods of this one) and the Evox TSOP d.6, which is a special d.6 made to flash and repair TSOPs

all the tsop flash bioses ONLY work when the tsop is still working.. when it's wiped, there's no other way than the homebrew chip.

Yep.  The way forward involves a chip.  And twenty nine pieces of wire.  <

Shit, I dont wanna blow it by screwing up one of the 30 points.  Anyone know where I should send it to have someone else re-flash it?  <
