this may sound like i am being lazy and haven't looked, but is there any advantages to doing a tsop flash as opposed to doing a font exploit?  I've been looking all over and can't find one, but i did the font exploit and can't access my D: and it crashes when i try to play movies, and was wondering if using a tsop flash may help?  a link or anything would be helpful cause google wouldn't tell me nothing.  Thanks!!!!  <

I have never used a audio/font exploit but I think TSOP is the way to go, audio exploits have problems with clock loops, and M$ can wipe all your hard work off in a second when you go LIVE.

Plus, I don't like hot swapping.

Ive modded over 100 xbox consoles in various forums, bootchips, softmods (font+audio) and tsop flashing. Tsop flashing is kinda like having a bootchip, the only real risk ive experienced is the chance of a bad flash (ive done about 10 like this with no problems yet).  I doubt running softmods has anything to do with not being able to access the dvd drive, what happens when you try to access the dvd drive?

I would say to go with the TSOP flash, just make sure you get the right sized BIOS (1024k for v 1-1.1  256k for v1.2+).  I have had problems getting boxplorer to access the D: drive with some audio exploits, but Tsop is like having a permanent modchip.  The only disadvantage with TSOP is that you can't go on XBLive, unless you have a pre v1.2 xbox  <

Yep thats right.  Put a switch in and you can run two bios'.  That means you can go live, although there have been rumers that M$ are scanning the hard drive to see whats on it.  Might be banned in the future with an upgraded hard drive.
