my default dash is no longer XBMC, but its now Avalaunch. I can't figure out how to change it back - I know its gotta be easy though.

Ok, got this one fixed.
My xbmc.cfg file had been renamed to xbmc.cfg_new, the text inside had been changed to point to an invalid default.xbe file, and the original xbmc.cfg was missing - I think this was caused by the xbmc upgrader script I was fiddling with, which failed, and its changes just happened to take effect when i rebooted after the manual upgrade.
I just corrected the path in the _new file to point back to my apps/xbmc/default.xbe and renamed the file back to xbmc.cfg, and xbmc is back to being my default dash again.

Now if I can just get my text back.....

Hey there, I also upgraded my Dashboard recently to the 1.28.08 build and I cannot read the fonts on my buttons when using the Project Mayhem III skin.  All other skins except the Project Mayhem series show their fonts fine.   Which is weird...  I've adjusted the Arial default font to Bold/Default/Sharp and it just seems to adjust the font for the menu text, not the button text and the home screen text.

Any solutions yet for this?

Clear your skin directory for PMIII and re upload. You either added to it which messed it up or your original upload didn't go well. Symptoms like that are frequently fixed by re uploading the skin.
