Hey Guys,
I've had my box for a while and this is my first major screw up. I am not very impressed with myself at the moment, something that seemed to be so harmfull has turned into a little disaster.
Info: Xbox V 1.3, Chameleon Chip, Evox, BIOS 4979.67
Problem:
I was running XBMP playing an AVI video from the DVD player and decided to play with the XBMP video display settings. I think I accidentally modified the NSTC display settings. (I rememer is saying will take effect on next power on). However when I selected apply the XBMP Menu froze up and the video was still playing in the little screen on the lower left hand corner.
The only solution to get out of this was to "POWER OFF" the xbox. Now when I turned the box back on the problems started.
FYI - My XBOX led normally starts Green then stays RED when evox is loaded.
Xbox Does not boot to Evox, No video or audio being outputed, light on the Xbox starts off green then flickers to red for 1 second (TV Screen fickers when light goes red, but that's about it), then it goes back to green and the CD/DVDRom starts making noise like the laser is looking for something.
What I have done so far. If I insert an Original Xbox Game during bootup, the xbox led actually will turn to led and stay red however no display or sound and the CDROM just spins and spins for ever.
Note: The Chameleon Blue light is on but does not flash, this tends to make me beleive that the box can't read the evox.ini file on the hard drive as this is where the setting is for making the chameleon chip flash 15 times on boot up.
I have downloaded the Slayer Disk Ver. 2.5 and will burn that tonight to CDRW and see if that helps, however if I modified the Display settings which are stored in the EEPROM this is not going to help me out!
I am now about to look for "Enigmah Video Mode Switch Disc" and see if that works.
Normally when NTSC is switched to PAL you still get sound and the xbox still boots up enabling the FTP, at the moment my Xbox is dead in the water!
Any Input or technical help on this issue is more than greatly appreciated!!!
Lance
