Recent releases don't seem to like the Youtube script (vids wouldn't play). I updated to this build and now they play but it's all sped up and everyone sounds like chipmunks. I've tried different versions of the script just incase but it is still the same, meaning the problem must be with XBMC. I hope this is fixed on the next build as i'm missing Youtube but I don't wish to downgrade to an older build.

Also, getting music info off cddb is a nightmare with this and the previous two builds.

« Reply #18 on: June 18, 2007, 11:31:00 AM »

I have been having random lockups with this build, and several previous builds

This is including the 6/17 T3CH build, as well as the stable point release.

I have been unable to create a situation which guarantees a crash, it is
random, but seemingly only when I am actively using the remote control to
move around the menus, or scrolling through lists.

I have read the suggestions that say to remove the gamepad, and simply use
the remote control dongle, and for the moment, that appears to be working,
I have not had a crash yet, but that is only for the past day.  I expect
MOST people use the DVD dongle, and have controllers plugged in also, so it
must be something else.

It usually takes me between 2-10 minutes to create this crash with a lot of menu activity.

I wonder if my gamepad, or dvd dongle is faulty, etc.

Here is the end of my debug log.  I was just scrolling through song
lists.

I kindda liked seeing the logo and the startup animation of the home window when XBMC starts like in the previous version...

Any Chance of t3ch ever releasing a Special Edition, that has the web browser integrated?  I think it would be pretty sweet to listen to music off the xbox and read xbox scene forums at the same time!!!!

I can confirm this also, page 2/2 in video settings when playing video with mplayer is missing configuration options like interlacing and soften..

Ever since the May 7 build I have been no longer able to adjust the volume while a movie is playing.  I can mute it, but other than that there is no response.

I would also like to add my thanks.  I am currently using the June 11 build and it is very stable.  The June 17 build did not fix the audio control issue so I switched back to the June 11 build since it has been the most stable one for me since the last stable build.  2.01 I believe

First off, thx for putting the time into doing this...it's great!

Now to the problem (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Anybody else having 100% processor usage with the last two builds?

Up to XBMC-SVN_2007-06-04_rev9200-T3CH did fine, the processor ran at about 30% at idle.  But the last two builds run processor at 100%.  All that activity heats it up, and makes the fan wind up and sound like it's gonna take off! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Any ideas?  It does it on both of my xboxes (both v1.4 w/Xecuter 2.6 CE).

THX,

1.  Video settings page is fixed.  Thanks for the reports.

2.  Remote problem - without it reproducible we can't do anything about it - please attempt to reduce the requirements to reproduce - see if it happens just with the gamepad (ie isolate to the remote code for instance).  Make it happen only on home to eliminate as much as possible.

3.  freesafety13: You are using AC3/DTS passthrough, so the audio is not touched by XBMC.  Use the volume control on your receiver.

I'm still having an issue with the right side of the screen having a white line visible during transitions between modules.  Is there a way to fix this?  I've tried recalibrating the screen, but that doesn't seem to fix it.  I'm running the latest svn on a 480i tv using component connectors.

XBMC is wonderful.
