Thanks again for another build!!

I've just installed it and I've had this before and just gone back to the previous build... when you click on Programs, Music, Video etc... all you get is "add Source"? all the other mappings are gone? tried re-installing it and even mapping some drives etc without much luck?

any pointers greatly appreciated!  biggrin.gif

Just copy over your old sources.xml file.

Seems to be an issue, at least for me, setting a networked file source.  Freezes in the add video source box and I have to do a hard off.

This occurs while trying to browse for a source, if I manually input the location information it is ok.

For those having trouble running XBE files:

Add the below line to "AdvancedSettings.xml" goes in your UserData folder. Create the file if you don't already have it. Bug your modchip producer to fix the problem if this does the job.

<disablemodchipdetection>true</disablemodchipdetection>

Adding AdvancedSettings.xml in my /UserData folder with the line:
<disablemodchipdetection>true</disablemodchipdetection>
did not fix my issue sad.gif

*edit*
Missed wizbitz's post.  Works perfectly now, thanks!
Needed:
<advancedsettings>
<disablemodchipdetection>true</disablemodchipdetection>
</advancedsettings>

Fast forward with the trigger seems less smooth than version 2.0.

Another problem: After rating a MP3 (for example 3 stars) with XBMC it does not save/remember it and display no stars (title information/playback).

Your music must be in the library for the rating to be saved.

Just a quick one.  I've updated XBMC & evrything seems to be fine, except that when I restart from the shutdown menu it boots into the MSdash, rather then EvoX.

I've checked my default dash in (settings -> My programs -> Dashboard default) & it's set to Evox.  I even tried setting it to msdash & then back to Evox, but it's still rebooting to MSdash.

Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Cheers

I've also noticed issues viewing pictures.  Zoom in/out, flipping back and forth, the picture goes slanty and sometimes black and white.

You might also have noticed its removal was noted in the change log.

i would just have some confirmation about the x2 issue:

> is xbmc not compatible with the xecuter 2 modchip or with the x2 bios?

> if it is the bios which causes the problem, is it the latest version only (5035) or are previous version (like 5032) also causing this problem?

many thanks for the clarification

Have looked at the Genre problem and have some more info. It happens using iTunes 7 when you enter comments on m4a files. Whatever the comment is, XBMC creates a Genre for it in the library. Just started happening about 3 or so builds ago.

Same problem here. Using on XBOX version 1.6. X3 bios ver. 3294. Tried a clean install, no help. Restored to previous release and all is back to normal.

With regards to the black screen when trying to access programs/game saves on the X2 chip and 5035 bios.

When using the

<advancedsettings>
<disablemodchipdetection>true</disablemodchipdetection>
</advancedsettings>

it really does work.  However, I had to delete the old advancedsettings.xml file out of my directory altogether and make a new one.  Ensure that you're using the most up to date build, once updated THEN add in your new advancedsettings.xml file and reboot the xbox.

I've had no end of problems with the BSOD (black, that is!), but this latest build has sorted it all out for some reason.

Thanks to the developers for addressing this!

I'm experiencing a strange problem of BSOD (as named above): when I run XBMCLyrics and it start showings the lyrics, the screen turns automatically to black... in this situation when I press whatever key, XBMC crashers with the screen showing something like untuned tv screen. At this point hardware reset is required.

If the lyrics is not found, XBMC works fine with no crash.

I don't use a modchip, just softmod... never had this before (with previous build): is this something that someonelse is experiencing?

thanks,
blackdir
