Xbmc - Audio Rip Codecs - Is This Possible?
« on: September 30, 2006, 06:40:00 AM »

Hi,

I've searched all over for information on this and can't seem to find anything. Is it possible to update the codecs used by XBMC when ripping audio CDs so that I could encode to AAC? (Perhaps using the Itunesencode.exe that I have used from EAC?).

I could do it all from my desktop machine, but I've often got to use that for other purposes so it would be extremely handy to just leave the Xbox in the corner ripping/encoding away whilst I'm on my other machine, swapping the discs out when it completes.

If it's a no-show in XBMC, is it possible in something like Dvd2Xbox?

MP3, OGG, etc... are great, but I like the sound of AAC at low bitrates when conidering it's relatively small filesizes.

Thanks
