i'm honestly not a big fan of the MC360 skin in terms of the layout and the way navigation is handled, it's a very good show-piece for the skinning engine. the integrated scripts are killer, and a LOT of people were either waiting for this skin or will see it and "convert" to XBMC, so it's very good for the scene in general.

as for the minor issues with the skin, it's a BETA. they're still working on it, so help them out by posting your specific problems over in the MC360 sub forum:

My favortie moment was when I entered my xbox live tag into it and my gamer pic, gamerscore, and reputation was downloaded over the internet and now I can see my gamer card on my old xbox! I wasn't expecting to see that, I thought the gamer tag thing was only going to be used for xlink kai.

Same here!, Thats pretty a pretty cool feature!. I've just installed it on my spare xbox to test out and I'm loving it so far. Much respect goes to the people that must have spent many many hours making this thing look and work so smooth!.

where's the scripts and weather?

Press start and a window appears along the left with 'Extras' and music controls etc. Took me a while to figure that one out  biggrin.gif .

Would be great , but... unfortunately I don't use anymore TC3H  builds, because after many problems with SMB the networking , suddenly does not work anymore I have tested it on more Xbox’s in all kind of configurations) TC3H builds are since Feb. '06 not to stabile anymore as far for SMB and other networking functions and the freezing problem. .and If I use other builds then my Xbox  is working great only in combination with TC3H builds it is getting tricky, I have tested it on the test configuration, after clean installs on new installed hdd's.
With all respect for much effort people do for the xbmc builds, I will wait with these builds until the former problems are solved. I cannot imagine that with this 666 build suddenly all wil be solved.

SMB and networking are working for me. A lot of the smb problems are probably due to your PC.

BTW, how do rescan my apps and progs so it update the thumbs? I've deleted the thumb folder and now, all my apps and progs have the controller icons.

there was some talk in the wide icons thread about an option being put into CVS a couple days ago to allow users to disable filenames while in icon view for sections other than My Pictures. any word on if this is in the 6-6-06 build and, if it is, how do we make use of this feature?

there is nothing in the audio settings believe me that is the first thing i checked.
all settings are where they should be and i even changed it to what they should not be and then back again and still nothing.

oh well back to a working build....  i'll wait til they can get it working properly

and the menu is sloww  even the background image is slowwwww that moving background or animated background needs to be dropped. it hampers performance even in the menus

Did you install it over your previous version or new?  I installed it into a separate folder "XBMC 360" and played around with it for a while before I decided to use it.  Once I got it working the way I liked, I just renamed my previous version "XBMC old" and then rename "XBMC 360" to "XBMC".

Anyway, try it if you didn't already.  There may be old files screwing up your experience.  I suppose it could also be the compile you are using.  I got mine off of newsgroups.  So far everything works perfect for me.

Try deleting all the files in your E/CACHE/ folder.  I don't know why, but sometimes that will fix these types of problems.  If that doesn't work, try deleting your 0face008 folder for a totally clean install.
