« on: March 15, 2004, 02:35:00 PM »

So i read everything and attempted to solder the points on my 1.3 version xbox
i think everything is fine. i go to run it but it doesnt boot
it just flashes green 2x and then green red and orange colors
i even desolder the points hoping it would fix my problem
but it didnt i still get the light error.... without the solder
what are my options!!! any help asap would be nice

Any modders in the dallas area.. i would be happy if ya gave me some assistance

There is almost no way unless you are real crappy at soldering that you can frag your xbox by soldering those 2 points, you must have however screwed up another area of your xbox while soldering the bridges. Im guessing you pulled off a trace or accidently overheated the board making something come loose.  <

also possible: you took off a cap or resistor, or some solder dropped/spilled onto some components.

i have no idea what i did.. but i did find extra solder.. on the board that dripped and i fixed that.. but it still wouldnt boot however i did go out and get a new box... and swapped the mobos on them and it seemed to fix the problem...
now... the game save i did isnt working after soldering the points

i think its because i burned the CD and copied the files from the CD to a modded xbox and then transfered the files instead of using the ethernet!
