^Copy the modified "home.xml" file into the "PAL16x9" folder. This folder is located in the same directory theat your "PAL" folder is located.

See if that fixes the problem.

The middle box is probably the KAI icon. Look for   "<description>xlink kai conditional button</description>" this entry and grab the ID from the working skin and replace it. You may have to look over the entire home.xml if that does'nt work.

As for the weather look for these entries:

<description>Weather temperature</description>

<description>Weather conditions</description>

Why the ID's are different, I dont know. Maybe modified builds. Thats why people usually just post code snippets for others to copy into their home.xml. But I figured I'd save some people time by offering entire home.xml, but that does'nt alway work with different or modified builds i guess. Particlualry when the ID values have been changed.

EDIT: Btw, when you copy your new XBMC build to your xbox drive, do you boot from the EVOX boot cd, delete your entire XBMC folder, then ftp over your new build?

Thats the way I do it. Though you may want to save certain screenshots or anything XBMC may have stored in its folderes.

Actually I was letting you know that your Kai button is in the middle of your rss feeds
<posX>544</posX>
      <posY>503</posY>
It's not visable till Kai is active or you can make it visable by changing the <type>button<type>

Looks like youve reconfigured a lot of the buttons.

The middle control may be part of the video preview window.

The only other thing I can suggest is to compare all the ID's from the working home.xml to that of the modified home.xml and replace what is different. It looks like a lot of the ID's are changed.You could always try another build. My build is May 2. Try to get a build with no additional modifications.

Showing off my skin mod that was done when PMIII was first released as a beta:

The Xlink Kai button is always showing, just like I like it. If you want it to stay on the home screen even if Kai isn't connected, just change "conditionalbutton" to "button"

I've did plenty more mods to this skin, they're in the link in my sig, but they're a bit outdated

Try using these for your weather. The IDs most likely will be "1" when using XBMC codes like "MusicPlayer.Artist", I noticed this when browsing through the XMLs

All you have to do is adjust the posX & posY to move the items around
QUOTE
<control>
<description>Weather conditions</description>
<type>image</type>
<id>1</id>
<posX>70</posX>
<posY>503</posY>
<width>45</width>
<height>49</height>
<info>Weather.Conditions</info>
<colordiffuse>98FFFFFFF</colordiffuse>
</control>

<control>
<description>Weather Temperature</description>
<type>label</type>
<id>1</id>
<posX>120</posX>
<posY>503</posY>
<info>Weather.Temperature</info>
<font>special12</font>
<align>left</align>
</control>

For the Music display:

    <control>
      <description>cover image</description>
      <type>image</type>
      <id>1</id>
      <posX>540</posX>
      <posY>338</posY>
      <width>100</width>
      <height>99</height>
      <info>MusicPlayer.Cover</info>
    </control>

    <control>
      <description>Artist label</description>
      <type>label</type>

      <width>255</width>
      <posX>525</posX>
      <posY>340</posY>

      <info>MusicPlayer.Title</info>
      <align>right</align>
      <font>special13</font>
    </control>

    <control>
      <description>Album label</description>
      <type>label</type>
      <id>1</id>
      <width>255</width>
      <posX>525</posX>
      <posY>394</posY>
      <info>MusicPlayer.Album</info>
      <align>right</align>
      <font>font10</font>
    </control>

    <control>
      <description>Time label</description>
      <type>label</type>
      <id>1</id>
      <posX>525</posX>
      <posY>415</posY>
      <info>MusicPlayer.Time</info>
      <align>right</align>
      <font>font10</font>
    </control>

If these still don't work, it may be your skin version out of date (Skin version is now 1.3). Check "skin.xml" in PMIII's home skin dir for <version>1.3</version>
