nice, the update looks good, I definitly like the jewell better on the homepage with the update just a suggestion, maybe make the backround images a tad bit darker to bring out the boxart and orbs a little better.  Also any fix on the music overlay yet, still seems out of place, and did you get my email?

Hey, i'm loving the look!!! One thing, would anyone else rather have the news info line towards the top of the screen (AKA-PM2) instead of in the middle so you can read more then 4 or so words like now. That's one thing i liked about pm2 is most of the top screen is showing the feed. Making the feed where it's at, only shows about 4 or so words, making it harder to focus when reading. Just makes it easier to read it when on top , showing almost a line at a time.
 Also, would the 'Freemem' have to be shown for those that don't need that? I love the 'Time and Weather' in side the Orb idea!!! Using advatage of the new XBMC release i see. Very nice touch.

There is problem with the using of gif images, they take a lot of memory and when you watch a movie in overlay (pressing X on the pad) and you go back in the home window, XBMC cannot load the background because the memory is not enought and that is really ugly.
So I'm forced to use small gif files, with around 40 frames max and 160x120 size to keep them around 300-400Kb, that's why I'm monitoring the freemem; at the beginning i was using bigger gifs and everything was just looking amazing smile.gif
Now what will you prefer? the overlay in the home window or nicer gifs?

P.S. I don't know if it is a bug  or what but right now i can't disable the overlay in the home.

Umm. I guess i'll take overlay please then. With sugar on top. :-) The weather on the main screen is also in WIP with newer skin release not released yet right? Just making sure since i didn't see it on mine yet with 2-16-2005 release.
 I like the lower right orb being more of the same color like background, like in new progress pictures. Easier to read info now. Great job. Well, the animated gifs used now are still fine and look great. But yeah, i'd rather for sure take overlay over nicer longer gifs anyday. Here's a drink to you!!! And another shot!! Love them next day offs!! Hehe.

I have tested in NTSC with a pojector and I don't see any big problem, did you tested it?

I've already made a AQT Background using background2.png file, so the background matches since it's default black (ie-no picture3.png file yet) Looks ok. good enough i guess.

Sure, spent about 5 minutes making it. Just woke up (2 1/2 hours of sleep) and quick up'd a picture. I just threw something together for now. I'll go back and clean it up a bit. But better then a black screen for now.
