I think to properly play the .mov files you need the 8-20 cvs or later (with the qt codecs)- which I'm not sure how people get b/c its not on xbins...

I've got the .mov files working! Took me quite some time, but i made it.

After installing some different builds, i couldn't start xbmc at all. After installing Xbmc 1.0 and running it succesfully, i installed the latest build 08-26 with the ATQbrowser and now it all works fine.

It seems like large .mov files that are encoded with sorenson 3 wont start at all.
And a lot of .mov files are encoded with this, so it would be great if someone could try to fix this problem in a future xbmc release

I found out what the problem was, but hell it was tricky.
It had nothing to do with xbmc. It turned out that all my .mov files that didn't work, had been copied of a cd-rw.
I usually burn movies or small files to a cd-rw and then copy them over to the xbox.
And it seems that somehow the .mov file gets corrupted while burning it.
So I tried to ftp the movie instead and it played without any problems.

Only problem left is to get that jump forward thingy working with .mov movies

It works very fine as you all can see...

Use 0818 cvs @ minimum and make sure all qt codecs are installed

wink.gif  hmm, here it works and i dont have QT codecs , just the ones that XBMC comes with.

some people/groups include all codecs with the release.

Check your mplayer/codecs folder and you will most likly find a bunch of dll´s
