It may sound stupid but my problem is that I don't know how to
release it. I don't have permission to commit to the cvs and I
cant find a way to get posting access on the xbmc forums.
I need to get in touch with a xbmc programmer but I have already
tried to get one's attention in these forums without success.
So if anybody in the xbmc group reads this, please PM me and
explain to me how I can submit my code...

EDIT: Ok, I figured it out and posted a patch for this on sourceforge.

Let us know if you get this compiled.  And how it works.

Anxiously awaiting!

P.S. you may want to take a look at  the VisualisationFactory.h

That issue has been fixed (thought..?)

Tried compiling for the first time and had to edit VisualisationFactory.h to point to the proper file within the folder. But I complied it according to forum FAQ guides and I get no default.xbe file....

Hmmm strange, you shoud get a default.xbe in the Debug or Release folder (depending on your type of build). Do you get any errors while compiling?

As you know, I have submitted this to the xbmc devs so they could help me with a mem leak. As of now, I'm pretty sure the leak is not in my code since the Freemem also drops with other visualisations. I also believe it can be integrated as is in the code as the xbmc base code modifications are minimal so I don't think it should be too long before we see it in an official release.  If you want to follow the progress, go to the developpment section at the  www.xboxmediacenter.de forums.

I finally got it to work and it looks real good. Now to nail down the parsing period...

Why don't you download the XDK? There are lots of tuts out there
that explain how to set it up and compile xbmc.
Right now there is no support for voice but I plan to eventually add it when I get a communicator. I've never seen a music mixer mike but if it functions like
a communicator then it will probably be ok.

I believe if you write support for the live communicator, the music mixer mic should work.  On the Music Mixer manual it says that the live communicator is compatible with it.  BTW, keep up the good work.  I am currently using the music mixer for my karaoke fix, converting my mpg+CDG files to wma+cdg.
Also here's a great program for those people with lots of .kar files.  Power Karaoke at http://www.powerkaraoke.com/, will convert your kar files to wav+cdg files.  I tried it and it works great.  It has a 14 evaluation.  It even does batch conversion so you don't have to convert each file one at a time.
